Portal.

Well, I've been playing alot of Orange Box lately. I finished Half-Life 2: Episode 2 in about a day and a half, and it is kinda sad. I mean, I wait 3 years for the so-called "quicker" release schedule of episodic games, and then finish it that quickly, even on the hardest difficulty. I'm not really complaining though, the game itself was great... as per all the HL games I have played, it was just over way too quickly. There were quite a few parts of it that were insanely annoying and difficult, but were possible after a few fits of screaming at the computer and calming down.
After I finished it, I decided to start on Portal, another game that came with OB. It is pretty damn fun, and unique. It wasn't all that difficult to finish either though, but I wasn't expecting it to be. It had one of the greatest songs ever for its ending... but to someone who hasn't played it, it probably wouldn't be that impressive. Regardless, here it is:

The problem I am having with it, is that when you finish it, harder versions of some of the puzzles are unlocked. There are only 6 to finish, but my damned computer keeps locking up every time I finish a few, and it doesn't save my progress, thus I can't fully finish them. It's PISS OUT MY ASS annoying. I suppose it could have something to do with the fact that I am currently overclocking my system by 10% rather than the regular 5% I keep it at... but meh. I don't want to admit fault so I won't. :p

One year.

Well hello there! It has officially been one year since I posted anything here on my blog! Amazing, isn't it? Anyway... not much of worth has happened in this time... at least in my opinion, but that shouldn't be surprising.

I went back to IU for 2 semesters, passed both and then realized that NONE of my computer credits from VU would transfer. This basically left me with the choice of needing 36+ credit hours to replace what didn't transfer. Personally, I was planning on being at IU for 2 years or so to finish up, but this made it more like 3-4 years to finish up. Seeing as how I don't even really want to be a programmer anymore, investing that much time into something I don't even really enjoy doing anymore, seemed like a bad idea to me. I decided instead to not bother with it, and if anything will probably end up doing something along the lines that Ian is doing, and go to Ivy Tech or some such place to get an IT degree or something in the near future. For the moment, I am moving back to Jasper and going to work at Radioshack again.

Also, today the new Harry Potter book was released. I was going to grab a copy last night around midnight, if there wasn't a crazy ass line at Wal-Mart, but of course... people are insane and there were tons of people waiting. I am fairly sure I will be able to walk in there today and pick one up with no trouble. Seriously, I cannot imagine a book being sold out like a game system or something... in Indiana especially. Secondarily, I am going to be heading to Indy in a few minutes to go see the new Harry Potter movie at the Imax 3D with Scott. Hopefully it will be good. I am hoping that it will be fairly empty in the theater, because most of the HP fans will be reading the new book today.

I will be making a post or two in the next few days, most likely, because I have quite a few pictures from my trip out to Maryland to see Jeremiah. We went to Washington D.C. and New York while I was out there, and it was a great time. I'll talk more about that later though.

Anyway, sorry I have been gone so long, those of you that still check this... I can't promise I will be here every day, but who knows?
